everything is more fun with a little munchkin involved.

Even waking up (although ALWAYS a tad too early) brings a smile as you get to greet a grinning little one standing in the crib elated to be discovered.
Or when you get dressed for the day and the little man gives a smile of approval and loves the buttons on your shirt.
tasting a cookie. seeing a friend. listening to music. meeting a checker @ walmart.
All becomes more magical.
I put up our pipsqueek of a Christmas Tree the week before Thanksgiving and it has been so fun to see Hugh's reaction. When the lights turn on.... he immediately points and walks straight for the tree. It is up on a side table so he gazes up. "s s s s" as he points at the puny tree in awe.
I have a little nativity scene under the tree and everyday he gets to hold the baby Jesus and you should see the smile on his face. He knows after he holds the baby for a while then baby Jesus needs to go back and sleep by his mama. It is so fun to see the wheels turning in that little brain of his.

Hugh is becoming more like his Daddy. All of you that know Devin will agree that when he is at his parent's house he literally spends half his time in the pantry digging around for a snack. Hugh now stands in front of the pantry doors and whines for some sort of edible delight as well.

As we are in the midst of finals (Devin is finishing up the 11th test today!) Hugh has been deprived of daddy time. After devin gets home and plays with hugh for an abbreviated moment...he goes down to the dungeon to continue studying. Hugh will play with toys and boring ole mom, but always makes a stop by the downstairs door and...seeing the light on... yells down the vent, "DA" He lingers by the door leading to dad, sits, makes noises with his hands on the vent, smiles...."DA." It is really cute.

Hughie seems like he has such a fun personality. I hope you got a nice long break and got to spend lots of time with your husband.
