it has been replaced with sleeping...and maybe a little craft blog stalking obsession. smile.
The problem is this going to bed at 10pm business. It is putting a damper on my blogginess.
It is official. Hugh no longer refers to me as "mimi" and tomi as "tobi"
we are now.... mommy/mom & Tomi.
I was sad to see the sweet nickname disappear. It marks another step towards growing up. The part about 'listening to me & learning to stay by me' I can handle.
Hugh is indeed growing up. He loves to HELP with anything I am doing. He is constantly asking me, "mom...what you doing?" He loves to run get things for me :), give baby her toys, or carry something out of the car. His latest obsession is play dough. We recently have cut back and only play once a day (instead of 3). The blue play dough is getting all dried out and tough because that is his favorite. He is obsessed with BLUE. "i like blue the best."

He also loves to play 'BOX'
He has always loved to hide in boxes, but Devin helped him take it to a new level. When devin comes home from work and I am cooking dinner, He and hugh will go into the playroom and shut the door. There will typically be pillows flying, banging, & laughter. Basically...BOX...is where hughie jumps into the box, devin closes it up, and tosses the box around while hugh screams and giggles. For a while there, right when devin got home hugh would insist, "run Dad!" or "let's play Box!"
Hugh continues to love his little sis. He loves when she plays in the playroom with him as she watches his every move. (i am loving the whole entertain each other aspect) He loves listening to his "favorite song" in the car(that's how i get him to sit in his chair so i can buckle him in half the time) -- Cold Play 'viva la vida' referred to as violins or David Archuletta "can't let the music stop" . He loves to jam out to these songs and the whole time he is rocking his head and yelling "Tomi! Tomi!" as he wants her to smile and get excited with him. IT makes me so happy.
Tomi is now 7 months. She is sitting up on her own pretty well, but needs a pillow for frequent plops. She is getting more stingy with her smiles, but will always give you the widest grin from ear to ear if you sing "Popcorn poppin". Her lovable grin is still the cutest thing in the world. So sWeeT. She has decided to eat baby food and no longer has to survive on overcooked breadsticks. I love watching her discover the world around her as she scrupulously analyzes each new object. Her thighs are still as yummy as ever and tantalizing to almost everyone we meet. She has inherited her daddy's sweating capabilities- hence i never bother with a cute bow or hair accessory because it is too dang hot. We do try to keep one on at least through half of church. :) She loves hugh and is always smiling in his direction. She watches his craziness intently...yet is not phased by him as she nurses. ( he is usually climbing on the chair, me, running into the mirrored door, or playing loudly on the floor). Whenever I have a quiet moment with her while hugh is sleeping I soak her all in and feel greater love for her each day. She is my little angel.
You'll never guess what time it is.....
11pm.
See i told you. gotta go to bed.
