I won't lie...normally i dread being away from my own living quarters for more than 2 weeks - especially when hughie decides to have screaming matches for every nap, bedtime, and 3am jaunt, ...but we were gone for 4 weeks this summer and it flew by. Hughie had so much fun with all his cousins, aunties & uncles, & grandmas & grandpas! And he shed the screaming match habit....which made all the difference. Instead he learned to cuddle with me during the night.
Some of the highlights were...
hanging out on the beach in Newport with my family
hughie earning the nickname "Bam Bam" (from the Flintstones) because he was constantly carrying around a bat or tennis racket and wacking things. (if you were in his way....watch out!)Mickey Mouse pajamas, Disneyland, and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse -- new hugh favorites
Swimming everyday. Jumping on the tramp. Playing catch with Sam the dog and laughing at him. Tommy's birthday party. A trip to the fire station & petting zoo/farm with cousins. playing in the fountains at gateway. listening to my sister go on & on about wyatt's nap schedule and devin laughing because I WAS JUST AS CRAZY
playing "down on the farm" at night. playing mexican train. morning walks with mom & sis. BYU soccer game. pedicure with the girls. family renuions. beautiful blue sky weather with NO humidity, cool mornings & nights, too.
back to back 10 year high school reunions. oh baby!

I can't resist all those Asian babies. Sorry to the rest of Devin's family, but Hugh is the cutest! Those blue eyes are really going to get the ladies some day. Watch out!
Did I really talk that much about Wyatt's napping schedule? I am obsessed over sleep (considering that he missed a nap every day) but was it THAT bad? Debo did get a kick that we were ALWAYS talking about baby things...sleep, eating, crying, clothes, strollers, carseats, etc.
