what means the most to me

Halloween was really fun this year because hugh was really into "punkies" (pumpkins), pirates, witches ( i won't tell you how he says that one), and ghosts! He loved reading Halloween books and got excited about the Halloween decorations. Halloween IS one of my favorite holidays! We went to disneyland in october and rode on Pirates of the Caribbean. Ever since that ride we have been drilling hugh with the song, "yo ho...yo ho.. a pirate's life for me." He also got a cross-bones halloween shirt from grandma michi which we call his "pirate" shirt and we sing the pirate song throughout the day when he wears it. If you can't tell I was trying to get him to lOvE pirates so he would cooperate when it came time to put on the pirate hat and costume. And it completely worked! He jumped at the chance to put his costume on and wore his hat until he was sweaty! We trick or treated at the dental school with devin and then got more candy halloween night. The highlight of hugh's night was handing out candy to all the trick or treaters. When there was a knock at the door hugh would run in a frenzy over to retrieve the candy bowl and run to the door.



Grandma Kathy came to visit and hughie had so much fun with "mama." He loved having grandma around to play with! We were able to go to a Pumpkin Patch where we watched the pig races, got scared by a pumpkin eating dragon, and hugh got to ride a horse! He looked so big on the horse all by himself. Thanks grandma for coming...we miss you!
